The SRK in the form of a mummy, who destroys his enemies to the last, is seen asking "Main Kaun Hoon?" (Who am I?) with the expression of those actors who are brought back to the shows after being in a coma for months due to high demands for payment. (Who am I?) with the expression of those actors who are brought back to shows after being in a coma for months due to high fee demands. A child promises him: "I will find out who you are when I grow up!", adding the typical Atlee drama.
Thirty years
later, here is Vikram Rathore SRK, a police officer turned Robinhood. He is
doing everything the government should do to make things easier for citizens.
Now, is Vikram the same SRK we saw in the beginning? Or are they different
people? If they are indeed different, who are they? That is the subject of the
plot.
Jawan Movie Review:
Script Analysis
Atlee,
known for making films with mass appeal, has created Gadar 2 specifically for
the majority Indian audience. With his filmography, a pattern emerges where he
caters to a wide range of viewers. In the film Jawan, there are moments of
entertainment strategically placed to prevent the story from becoming tedious.
Shah Rukh Khan plays multiple roles in the film, showcasing his versatility,
but his performance in the Hindi version feels forced in terms of voice and
body movement. Although comparisons can be drawn to films like Aparichit and
Gabbar Is Back, Jawan is better designed as a proper masala film. Atlee's
directing style is evident in his focus on fan heroism, which takes precedence
over the story and script. Cinematographer G.K. Vishnu's work shines in the
action scenes, particularly the ground fights that receive meticulous camera
attention.
Jawan Movie Review: Star
Performance
Shah
Rukh Khan delivers one of his best performances in commercial cinema with Raees
and Pathaan, showcasing his ability to represent multiple characters
effectively. While some characters stand out, others contribute to the
overcrowded narrative. Nayanthara's character has a significant role opposite
Shah Rukh, but it would have been more impactful if she had more depth and
influence on the plot. Vijay Sethupathi, despite being a superior actor, is not
given the opportunity to showcase his talents due to the limitations of the writing.
Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover, in supporting roles, fail to leave a lasting
impression. Deepika Padukone makes a special cameo, appearing captivating in
her 90s avatar and wearing sensual saris.
Jawan Movie Review:
Direction, Music
Atlee
has studied a lot and knows exactly how to play on the nerves of the Indian
public. With Jawan, he serves up exactly what would have been appreciated by
the Indian audience with a little more masala.
Anirudh
Ravichander loses on the songs, but wins on the soundtrack. You won't hear the
routine 'speed-busting' songs, but you will definitely vibrate to the
orchestral magic he has created with the instruments.
Jawan Movie Review: The Last
Word
Said
and done, Jawan will always be remembered for Atlee's extraordinary way of
giving Shah Rukh Khan a fitting tribute, showing why he is, for all intents and
purposes, 'the last of the stars'.
Three
stars!
